Ad Lucem, or 'Into the Light', is an alternate universe Harry Potter RPG. We are a play-by-post forum roleplay, where you can create an original character and attend the Hogwarts School of Witchcraft and Wizardry! Muddled legends drift from person to person about a peaceful time--once upon a time--when wizards and muggles co-existed in peace. Being human as both race were, the two groups soon separated and resulted in the wizarding community going into hiding, concealing their precious magic from their non-magical counterparts.
While most agreed that keeping the existence of magic hidden from muggles was for the best, there were those who did not agree. Among countless reformists that emerged over the years, the Order for the Return of All Rights (also known as 'ORAR'), a group that promoted the right to expose all magic (dark as well as light), created a heavy mark in history.
After the execution of a plan to bring down ORAR succeeded, the Ministry felt it was safe to claim their victory. It has been over forty years since they've overcome the influence of ORAR--but trouble brews in the billowing shadows. Will you choose to take a stand?
